We invite you to honor the memory of Mike Popper, Sr by contributing to this cause which meant so much to him.  We pledge to ensure that every single cent goes DIRECTLY to helping the kids of this community, specifically those that need it most.  We will document & publish how every dollar is spent.

Mike Popper was an avid supporter & coach of local youth sports leagues in Wildwood, NJ.  He coached his children & many others in both basketball & football, earning the nickname “Coach Bonehead” in the process, for the loving & comical way he’d correct his young players' silly mistakes: “You bonehead!”

There are a great many people walking around today, who were coached by Mike, that can probably hear his voice just by looking at those words & others, perhaps, who still hear it in the back of their heads to this day, whenever they make a bonehead mistake & look to correct their course.

Mike loved that youth sports serve as a positive & productive outlet for the challenges some of our young people face.  On the playing field or court, everyone who's willing to work hard has an equal opportunity to play & contribute to team success.  He also firmly believed that youth sports, when coached correctly, would help build the kind of character, work ethic & attitude that could change lives & communities for the better.
