Michael Caruana's Cancer Treatment

My name is Michael Caruana and last December I was diagnosed with metastatic Prostate Cancer. The doctor found that a large portion of my prostate was tumorous, and there were an additional 10 metatstes in the spine, pelvis, and ribs. I am 52 years old, married with five children and was given 6-18 months to live.
During my May check-up and scans, we had found that the 10 tumors were either resolved or nearly completely resolved and that the primary tumor (in the prostate) had shrunk by 60%. We have defied the odds by incorporating integrative therapies which have aided in the disappearance of 10 of the 11 tumors. My most recent scans confirm that the 10 tumors are absent. However, the primary tumor grew and is now impinging a nerve bundle which makes it nearly impossible to sit, walk, or even lay down in one position for any length of time.
We have primarily been working with Florida Hospital’s Medical Director of Radiation Oncology to formulate a treatment plan. He feels it is necessary to employ a cutting-edge radiation therapy that would protect the nerve bundle and the surrounding major organs from significant collateral damage that it would sustain if traditional radiation therapy was used. However, our insurance company (Cigna) has denied covering the treatment therapy, claiming that the additional precuations are not "required". This is completely contrary to the words of all medical professionals that we have sought out since my diagnosis and would cause severe nerve and tissue damage in my body if we were to pursue this as a final answer. Despite this, the insurance company still wants to proceed with the standard of care (traditional radiation therapy- which according to a specific DNA test done on the cancer in my body, would cause dramatic mutation of cancer cells in my body as well as collateral damage to my major organs and nerves). We are currently appealing, however the insurance flips to Blue Cross in January, and therefore I will not have anything done for at least another 30 days.
We have also been speaking with Dr. Garcia at the Utopia Wellness Center, a certified integrative medical clinic in Oldsmar, Florida. He has recommended a very potent IV and integrative medicine protocol that will kick start my immune system and revert the cells back to healthy cells using well-studied and clinically tested methods: Cesium Therapy, IV Ozone Therapy, Chelation, Infrared, PEMF Therapy to name a few. Unfortunately, none of these services are covered by insurance, so we need to raise $45,000.00 to cover 8 weeks of treatment and travel expenses. Although we have seen remarkable improvement by employing holistic/integrative therapies, they are also extremely expensive and we have exhausted our savings to date. To compound matters, my company eliminated my position in October and I am currently unemployed. My wife who has been a stay at home mom that homeschooled our children is now caring for me. We would like for you to prayerfully consider a contribution toward the $45,000.00 in medical expenses that could make the difference between life and death. While waiting for the insurance companies to decide whether or not they will cover the radiation therapy in the later part of January or early February, we are holding onto hope and deep rooted faith. No amount is too small. We have the chance to use these next otherwise idle weeks to support my body’s ability to fend off additional growth in the primary tumor, and thus continue to defy the odds and beat this cancer!
