Thank you for taking the time to visit and read about the family need for our good friend, colleague, loving son, father and husband, Michael Francis Cornelius of Maui, HI who passed away on Thursday, May 3 at 7:28 PM at the Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center on Oahu. Michael was diagnosed just a short week earlier with stage 4 esophageal cancer.
He was airlifted over to Oahu, from Maui where he passed away. Unfortunately his wife Victoria was home bound in Maui, HI, and not able to be with him, as she is recovering from a serious back surgery herself. Friends of Michael and his wife Victoria are organizing a GoFundMe account for the benefit of Victoria, in order to provide financial assistance with end of life expenses for Michael and basic living and medical expenses for Victoria to help her through this difficult transition. (Victoria is recently recovering from major spinal fusion surgery due to an advanced case of scoliosis and degenerative disc disease. As such, she requires a great deal of assistance from friends and neighbors to maintain her health and organize her lifestyle following Michael’s passing).

Donations will be accessed by the beneficiary, Victoria Cornelius, through a joint checking account in both Victoria’s and a co-signor’s name. Withdrawals from this beneficiary account will be made solely for the direct payments towards Michael’s end of life expenses and the bills for health care, rent, utilities, food and transportation to support Victoria’s temporary needs.
