Medical costs and freedom flight for Manchita

Manchita was rescued from a horrible situation of abuse and neglect in a small town near La Romana, in the Dominican Republic. She was forced to live permanently tied up outside and was used as a "breeding machine" to sell puppies for profit. When her rescuers found her, she was emaciated, dehydrated and petrified. She was immediately rushed to the veterinarian where she received life-saving care. Manchita has slowly started to come out of her shell and is starting to gain weight.  She was recently spayed and is currently being housed at the veterinary clinic.  There are so many dogs in need in the Dominican Republic that Manchita is unable to find a home there. Manchita needs to make her way to Danes in Distress in Ottawa who  will place her in a loving foster home then find her the perfect forever family. Please help us cover Manchita’s medical costs and her flight to Canada so we can continue helping other animals in need!
