My mom, Mebbie Garrison, passed away last night. My sister and I were both by her side as she took her last breath. It was very peaceful. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her go fund me campagne to help with her "Celebration of Life" memorial service.
Mebbie's nurse aid funds needed has reached 75% of its goal. Thanks to Carrie, Aunt Kathy and Heather.
I just want to say that since I have been dealing with my own health issues, I have not been the the greatest at reaching out to friends and family to maintain these important relationships. That is why it brings tears to my eyes to see the generosity of all those who have donated. I have only a few people on my friends list on facebook and contacts on my phone compared to most people. Although my friends and family connections are so much smaller than the average person, this has shown me that the number of people on your friends list is not what matters. The generosity of these few friends and family members far exceeds those who have many acquaintances. So, for those of you who are like me, remember it is not the number of friends that you have listed on facebook, it is the number of people who really care about you when you need them the most.
I just wanted to thank all of my friends and family for your donations. We are so grateful for all of your help. If you don't have the funds to donate, I completely understand. If you still would like to help, and you are not sure how, please consider doing a collection at your work, church, or sharing the go fund me post with your contacts on facebook. Feel free to use her picture and description of what the funds will be used for. Thanks again for those who have already helped and those who still plan to help in the future.
