Help get Jeremy Lowry to MayoClinic

For those of you who know Jeremy I don't have to tell you that he's a great man. You know he's a hard worker, supportive friend, caring brother, respectful son, great father and an amazing husband. For those of you who don't know my friend Jeremy, he is in need of serious medical help and I'd like to support him by raising ten thousand dollars to get him to Mayo Clinic.

When Jeremy was in his twenties he was adventurous, healthy and had everything going for him.  In 2002 he started felling sick and fatigued every day. In July 2003 he was hospitalized with deep vein thrombosis and a pulmonary embolism. During that stay in the hospital his doctors diagnosed him with Systemic Lupus and Lupus Nephritis. At the time they said he could live a healthy life with treatment. At his job he had health insurance but due to all the chemo treatments his kidneys began to suffer. Over  the next few years he became depressed and unable to work due to fluid retention and other complications. Shortly after leaving his job he lost his medical insurance.

Over time they also diagnosed him with Discoid Lupus. Things got harder for him and his family so they moved in with his mother after loosing their home. His wife Ashley started worrying about their future and the thought of raising their son without him. In 2007 after treatment he was able to go back to work. Within a year they were faced with an unexpected pregnancy but with Jeremy feeling better and Ashley working full time life went on for them. In April 2008 shortly after giving birth to their second child Ashley died with complications due to an unknown birth defect and pulmonary hypertension.

The stress alone would be too much for anyone to handle. With two young children, loosing his life partner and his broken body you’d expect most people to just give up. The physical breakdown of his body due to the treatments has caused him to have a weak heart, lungs and he now has dialysis three days a week. He’s also lost his vision in one eye after having a blood clot and deals with glaucoma. Despite all these obstacles Jeremy is  selfless, loving and is important to our family and community.

He needs a life saving diagnosis and treatment plan that the hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas cannot give him. He wants to see his kids graduate and get married. He wants to continue coaching his son's softball games. All this time through all the hardship Jeremy has continued to stay active in his community but lately the pain and uncertainty of life has been too much. Please give if you can. If you don’t have enough this holiday season then please say a prayer for this family and “Share” or “Like” this information so someone you know might be able to help.
