Mark Crowder Brain Cancer Fund

MARK-having his final Radiation Treatment.

This is my brother-in-law Mark Crowder, he was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor called Gliobastoma grade IV in March.  
There is nothing they can do locally, and must look for trials!  

Please help us fund Mark's Cancer treatment!

Well, it's been a long time since I have posted any updates on Mark. Mainly because he has just been doing his monthly rounds of chemo and we weren't scheduled to get any MRI's till last week so we didn't really know how his brain was doing. Just by observation he has been doing fairly well. Going to work some, driving some and just trying to maintain life as best as one can while taking massive doses of chemo. However, the MRI revealed that neither radiation or chemo has had much effect. The tumor has grown significantly since his surgery in March and the swelling is so much so that it is pushing into the right side of his brain. There is nothing locally that can be offered to him and Duke only has 3 trials available. One he is not eligible for, 1 we won't know if he is eligible for till the 3rd week of Sept. and the other doesn't sound good at all! So we have contacted MD Anderson in Houston in hopes of getting in there ASAP! Time is super critical and personally I would be a wreck if it weren't that God had prepared me ahead of time. Before we even got the MRI, He had given me 3 Scriptures, Psalm 46, 91 and Isiah 41. If you are interested look them up. They are my rock, my confidence. It is His Word and He is the only one that is keeping Mark functioning at this time. We continue to rest in Him, knowing that we are all safe in His hands. Thank you my friends for your continued prayers and constant words of encouragement!

Who is Mark: First and foremost Mark is a man who loves God!. Second, he loves and adores his wife, my sister Cathy! Third, he is an amazing father to 4 children.   

This past week, the24th of August, the Doctors told Mark that the tumor had grown larger and the swelling around it is now pushing into the right side of his brain.  6 weeks of radiation and 3 rounds of chemo have done nothing to help.

We are reaching out for prayers, and financial help for their family.

Mark is the soul-provider for his family.    Cathy  home schools, her 4 children; but beyond that, their second daughter was born with downs syndrome and later diagnosed with autism a dual diagnosis. She needs full time care.

Mark and Cathy need financial help to travel for the medical trials they are seeking and for continued therapy for their daughter.  Time is of the essence.

We are continuing to pray for healing and God's miracle!
