The Asociación Cultural Los Angeles (ACLA) was formed in November 2000 as a volunteer association and incorporated in March 2005 as a California corporation. ACLA has been providing services since 2000. Its signature program is the Mariachi Academy.
ACLA is a music and cultural education program. Our mission is to provide cultural education, enrichment, and support for the academic growth of children and youth through music, song, and broad exposure to the arts. The Mariachi Academy fosters self-esteem, cross-cultural learning, bilingualism, and academic excellence by exposing students to experienced professionals and by creating a safe, fulfilling, and academically enriching environment where their talents and creative genius can be developed.
Funds raised will be used to support our instructional programs, performance support (such as transportation), and support for competitions. Our students range in age from 5 yrs. to 17. We hope to raise these funds by Feburary 2017.
