Please help Margie on her road to recovery. She's a loving wife, sister, daughter and popular hair stylist. A recent hospitalization has rocked Margie and her husband with medical costs and loss of income.
Margie was diagnosed in 2008 with Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) which makes her blood thicker and dangerously easier to clot. A year later she was diagnosed with Lupus, an inflammatory disease that results in the immune system attacking its own tissues. She's in constant pain as her body tries to fight off this disease. Joint pain and flare ups leave her unable to walk. Her doctors are monitoring near-fatal blood clots near her lungs and in both legs so they don't move up to her heart or brain.
She has been out of work at the salon for 6 months and in and out of the hospital for 5 years. Besides managing her constant pain and being bed ridden, her recent hair loss has been very challenging. Being a cosmetologist and in the beauty biz this is especially difficult.
Her treatment has included debilitating chemotherapy, injecting Lovenox to thin her blood twice a day and hospitalization to treat her lungs and monitor her blood clots. Recently she has had to go to physical therapy to regain her muscle mass from being bed ridden.
Many family, friends and loved ones have asked how they can help during this difficult time. This page was set up for them to come together and ease the stress of not being able to work until the end of January 2017 and help with her medical costs.The money raised will go towards:
Ambulance fees of $1800. She was recently transported from an El Centro hospital to a San Diego hospital and needed medical attention en route.

A beautiful high quality wig- cost is approximately $1200

Margie is surrounded by her awesome husband Justin. He is her rock and keeps her laughing. She has two dynamic sisters and an awesome brother. One is her identical twin and they support her with love, attention, dinners and movie nights, it’s especially fun when her 3 nieces and nephew join them. Her brother has really been there for her- making her his signature omelet breakfast, starting her baths and making sure she’s taking her medicines on time. Her parents have been together 33 years, their heart aches and swells with pride while watching Margie fight for her health and quality of life. They are by her side through it all.
