As most of you know, our mom has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and has spread to all her lymph nodes. In recent events, she has been admitted to Upstate Hospital due to a severe headache. After many MRI's and CAT scans, we have found out the cancer has spread to her brain.
Our parents have been together over 50 years and the struggles they have endured together are struggles most have not in their lifetime. Their love for Brennan Beach started 35 years ago and has been a huge part of their life. Our dad is a Vietnam veteran; while fighting in the war he stepped on a landmine and his own health has been detrimental including a punctured spleen, multiple heart attacks, bypasses, PTSD, etc. which causes for a fixed income. She has cared for dad, her siblings, 3 kids and our entire family since she was 18 and she I s the true definition of a back bone to our close-knit family. If you have seen us around, we come in a pack.
The money will be used for funeral arrangements, medical costs, and hospice care.
Mom always knows the answers, the right thing to do and whether you agree or not, her decision is the decision that will go forward.
