After almost 3 years of packaging and brewing tea, of going from convention to convention, and constant growth and expansion, it is finally time.... Time for The Dragon's Treasure to open up our own Anime-themed tea store!

WHO WE ARE 
The Dragon's Treasure: A Haven for Anime and Tea Lovers seeks to combine the two biggest passions of the owners; the vast, beautiful world of anime with the rich, flavorful Nectar of the Gods that is tea. We started out with just 12 teas and a modest website.  In just 2 and a half years, we have grown to over 50 teas and multiple accessories for both tea and anime enthusiasts alike, and now we are ready to open our own store in downtown Arlington Heights, IL.

WHAT WE OFFER
Our unyielding passion for tea along with our obsession for anime culture has led us to this combination that has carried us over though multiple highly successful anime and tea conventions.  We offer tea that is both affordable and of the highest quality that will have all tea enthusiasts filled with everlasting joy at our selection, as well as tea accessories that will leave many fans smirking from ear to ear, from our color changing mugs to our novelty tea infusers.






WHAT WE SEEK TO CREATE
Now, it is time for us to embark on our most ambitious project yet: opening up our very own store! It will be a tea shop like no other.  The store will include:

*PREMIUM loose leaf tea from the finest distributors.  Much like our shows, we only accept the finest of qualiTeas. 


*Our exclusive Dragon Tea Bar, wood carved and hand made 

*Anime playing behind the tea bar
*Game Nights
*Cosplay Events
*New Season Premiere Events
*Manga reading corner
*Plus much more!

EVERY DONATION MATTERS
We want to show everyone just how much interest there is for the store, and we want to reward those who help us get here.  Every donation counts, no matter how small. We want as many interested people as possible to find out about us and join us in the fun! Every person that donates will be thanked with at least a coupon (usable online or in the store). After 200 people donate,  the discount will increase by by 10% per 100 people, up to 40%. For example, at 200 donors, the coupon will be for 20% off. Once 500 people donate, everyone will get a SECOND coupon starting at 10% that will similarly increase in value as more people donate. The more people that donate, the more rewards EVERYONE will recieve! Please spread the word to as many people as possible and let them know we'll soon be setting up shop in Arlington Heights, IL!

WHAT YOUR DONATIONS WILL GO TO
Opening a business is quite an expensive, time consuming endeavor, but the main goal of this fundraiser is to show by number of people donating how much interest there is in our store. Any extra money will go towards organizing more events and more employee bonuses. Here is a rough estimate of the costs - much of which we already have the bill for - from now until the first month.
*INVENTORY
Includes not only the current product, but new teas, restocking, labels, bags, cups, etc.  This includes both new and old products, as well as restocking.
*WATER FILTER & SINK
The highest quality tea deserves the highest quality water filtration system as well as a suitable commercially approved sink.
*BUILDING CODE IMPROVEMENTS
Despite not actually serving any food, we have to be classified under law as a restaurant.  This comes with all of those lovely health codes and other assortment of appliances we're forced to have, such as a grease trap.  This money goes towards the hiring of some brilliant architects who will help us work with the city to make sure every part of the building is up to code.
*LICENSES
As being labeled a restaurant, there are an assortment of new licenses required of us, including a sanitation license, food permits, etc.
*FURNITURE
This includes bar stools, tables & chairs, display tables and shelves, etc.  
*OVERHEAD
Training, payroll, first month of rent, security deposits, etc.
*EXTRA
Any money that goes over our goal will be spent to fill up the manga corner more, arrange events, employee bonuses, and general store maintenence.
