In just three years, the Look for the Good Project has spread into 30 states, all by word of mouth with only one employee and a handful of volunteers. Kids Can Help by Pledging Acts of Kindness
This spring, we are partnering with Raise Craze to run a Kindness Fundraiser for kids. This unique campaign gives K - 12 kids the opportunity to raise money for the Look for the Good Project while giving back to their communities through acts of kindness. Once your child registers for this free Kindness Campaign, they get:
• A personal donation link & webpage
• An "Acts of Kindness" tracker
• Donation requests sent to friends and family from Raise Craze
• Encouragement from their friends and family to do some good!

Lucy Mitchell was only in kindergarten when she learned about the Look for the Good Project. She is now pledging acts of kindness to raise money for the organization (including starting a recycling program at her school). Our goal is to "Make America Kind, One School at a Time"
Simple and unassuming, our “cute kids program” imprints life-long patterns of kindness, resilience, and optimism in a whole new generation of children... trickling up to the adults around them, and reminding everyone to "look for the good."
Our program is scientifically based
Based off the "Broaden & Build Theory" in Positive Psychology, the Look for the Good program is designed to broaden students awareness to a wider range of positive thoughts and actions. Not only does this make students more constructive and creative, but it also builds life resources which make them more resilient. Meet Mike Cicarella who has been practicing "looking for the good" since his mother had a stroke a few years ago:
Researchers report that grateful kids are happier, more satisfied with their lives, more generous, more cooperative, and more likely to use their strengths to better their communities. So far, 92% of kids recommend the program, 76% reported less bullying, and 80% reported more kindness in their schools.
Endorsements
The K - 6 program has also been endorsed by the Connecticut Commissioner of Education, the Connecticut Association of Schools , the Wake County PTA Council in North Carolina, and MANY teachers:

Inexpensive and scalable
The program is easily scalable because kids run the program with one teacher advisor. Student-driven programs like ours have proven to be the most effective at changing school culture.
