Friends of Maddie Walter - MW8

On May 8th, Maddie Walter, 16 , fell from a 20 ft rock ledge and suffered severe head injuries as well as a broken pelvis, arm, and bones around her eye. She was found by police and fire personnel and rushed to Children's Hospital. She had surgery to alleviate the damage to her brain and is now in the long process of recovery.  There has been overwhelming support from the Westwood community and beyond. 

Many people have reached out and asked what they can do. Since Maddie's medical care, on-going treatment and recovery will likely be a strain on her family both emotionally and financially, we, Maddie's mom's childhood friends and neighbors have created this GoFundMe page to ask for your help. Any donation you make, small or large, will help Maddie’s family get her the best possible medical care and meet her needs and that of the family.  

Funds collected will be a gift from you to directly help with  Maddie's care and her family. We appreciate all the love and the support we know Maddie will receive both at Children's Hospital in Boston and from the Westwood community.
