HOMELESS OUTREACH PROGRAM
The Hair MWY teams (Hair M, Hair W and Y-Chrome) come together to make a difference in our community.
Program Mission
This program will offer a new start for people in our community who need support to get back on their feet.
We worked closely with local Portland, OR homeless shelters and support organizations to select 9 adults to include in our first homeless outreach program. On February 13th they along with 6 of their 12 children came to Hair M|W to have showers, haircuts, shaves, make-up, nails and new clothing. Our goal is to show them as real people, people just like the rest of us. Except these people have a story that lead them to the streets and we want to share that story. We believe that when our community hears their stories they will want to do what they can to help them into a normal life and off the streets.

The funds raised will be distributed to each of the individuals featured. Our goals is to raise $10,000 per individual, enough to help them get on their feet and even pay rent for year.
