Mira Mesa High AFJROTC CA-936
Hello, we are the Mira Mesa High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) Program also known as Unit CA-936. Our mission is to honor the AFJROTC vision of building “citizens of character” by serving as superb stewards of our school and community. We have been recognized as a Distinguished Unit for six consecutive years, from 2011 to 2017, one of only 58 units out of 889 nationwide to achieve this recognition six years in a row. We take great pride in serving our local and surrounding schools, communities, and organizations. We have received the Silver Star Community Service with Excellence Unit Award for two consecutive years providing over 9,000 volunteer hours. AFJROTC CA-936 was established in 1993, entering our 25th year this school year! With this said, as time progresses, the cost to maintain a program with an average 200 cadets per school year becomes quite expensive. Although we maintain a budget from the Air Force, much of our initiatives and drill equipment is supported through our cadet fundraisers, which unfortunately has been a challenge these past years. Therefore, we are kindly turning to our families, friends, and community for support. We are currently running a fundraiser to ensure we maintain our success as an AFJROTC unit. Donations will go towards special uniform items, travel costs, trip fees, and equipment. Please take 5 minutes and donate as much as you’re able to, even the smallest amount can make a huge impact. If you are not able to donate, please share this link with other friends and family. Each cadet has a goal of raising $150.00 for the fundraiser, so please donate and help them each reach their goal! Also, all donations are tax-deductable so please keep your confirmation receipt. Thank you for your continued support!+ Read More

Hello everyone! My name is Jason Dizon and I represent AFJROTC from Mira Mesa High School as the Finance and Fundraising Officer in Charge (OIC). I'm currently in charge of proposing and organizing fundraisers (such as this one), managing individuals' accounts, and keeping financial records. All the money raised in this fundraiser will directly go to the AFJROTC account in the high school. Thank you to the first nine people who took initiative in donating because your leadership will directly inspire others. It's also important to reinforce that any amount helps, especially just sharing the fundraiser with others. Whether you're a cadet, student, alumni, friend, or family, on behalf of everyone in AFJROTC and Mira Mesa High School, we appreciate you.
