Love for Baby Matilda

Donation protected

Matilda Mary was born on September 21, 2012 at 11:15AM, 7lbs 1oz and 20 inches long, the picture of a healthy baby girl. At just eight days old she was rushed to the ER for vomiting and general lethargy, she was then transferred 3 hours south by ambulance to Syracuse, NY and admitted for acute liver failure. The next day she was transferred 5 hours east by ambulance to New York where she was admitted to Mt. Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital. Her parents, Tyler and Kelly, along with her grandmother, Mary, and her 2 year old brother, Parker, all made the trip to the ER in the middle of the night, then on to Syracuse, and then to New York without any preparation. Parker and Mary have since flown to Montana (again without any of their belongings) to be with family. Matilda and her parents remain in NYC where Matilda is undergoing treatments for a rare gestational condition called neonatal hemochromatosis. Following the unsuccessful attempts to treat her liver failure, Matilda was placed on the list for a liver transplant. On Friday, November 2, 2012, Matilda under went a liver transplant thanks to the selfless donation of a healthy liver from another family who had suffered the loss of their precious child. All donations made here go to supporting baby Matilda and her family in this time of need. Thank you.
