Did you know the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce is the sole organizer for the bulk of Lake Minnetonka's 4th of July celebrations? These celebrations include the generations-old kiddie parade, popsicle social and dance party, fishing and sand sculpture contests, fireworks, food, entertainment, and finally the annual tradition of a spectacular fireworks display.
The attendance of our annual 4th of July celebration has grown exponentially over the years. As a result, the cost of resources needed to host a safe and secure celebration have risen. The full funding for activities comes from our budget comprised of membership fees, sponsors, small donations from the local municipalities, and registration fees from our annual events. This year we are looking for more individual community members who want to join our chamber or want to donate directly to the 4th of July celebrations.
