Lise for Callanish in Victoria

Can't make the March 9th Fundraiser - Sip, Snack and Support - A Callanish Fundraiser - but want to help? Donate here and the funds raised will go to Callanish  and their efforts to establish a space in Victoria dedicated to supporting people living with cancer.  

As you all know, Lise was diagnosed with breast cancer in February of 2016. Following this heartbreaking diagnosis, she underwent a series of treatments (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and hormone therapy) to put every last effort into eradicating this terrible disease. Unfortunately, in January of 2019, Lise found out that her breast cancer had spread and was now Stage 4 - for which there is currently no cure. Lise is now embarking on another round of treatments to help reduce and stop the spread of cancer. She just finished her first round of chemotherapy last week. 

Located in Vancouver, Callanish is an incredible organization that nurtures and supports people whose lives have been changed by cancer. At the heart of Callanish are week-long retreats that bring together people affected by cancer to connect and restore. In July 2018, Lise attended a Callanish retreat with seven other young women diagnosed with cancer. Embraced by the love and care of an amazing team of professionals, the retreat provided space for Lise and her friends to rest, reflect, and build life-long connections. Following the retreat, Lise joined Cycling Team Callanish to ride in the Tour de Victoria and plans to participate in the Kluane Chilkat International Bike Relay in June 2019 to raise funds to support the incredible work of Callanish.

With the support and blessing of Callanish, Lise is keen to establish a Callanish presence in Victoria so that those living with and affected by cancer in Victoria can access this care and support closer to home.
