Lisa's Fight - Round 2

LISA’S FIGHT - ROUND TWO!

My sister Lisa Titsworth (Zyla) was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer on October 24th, 2013. It was devastating news for the whole family but she was ready for the fight! Lisa went through months of Chemo and Radiation followed by a Bi-Lateral Mastectomy, a full Hysterectomy, and continuous doctor appointments.  Lisa’s time at the clinic became a part of her daily life. She met people, both professional as well as other patients that became like family to her. She was getting ready to have reconstructive surgery in May of 2015. Thinking she beat Cancer and was finally getting back to a somewhat of a normal life when she was given a second round of devastating news. The cancer had spread and she now has what is considered Metastatic Brain Cancer Secondary to Breast. She has numerous tumors, a few being the size of a golf ball. Lisa just received 14 days of whole head radiation treatments and we are currently waiting for a repeat MRI of the brain on June 16th to see how well the tumors reacted to the treatment. She may also qualify for some clinical trials. We continue to pray and hope the treatment did what it was supposed to do. The waiting game begins yet again as we will not have any results until June. Meantime we continue our prayers.

I wish everyone could meet my sister Lisa so they can see just how AMAZING she is. She is the strong one. She is the one that is telling us it is going to be okay but yet she is the one fighting the battle. Words cannot explain how truly AMAZING she is. She has a very positive attitude and has a heart of gold. The day she found out she had been diagnosed with Metastatic Brain Cancer Secondary to Breast – she called and told us but was more concerned about asking us to donate to her church event to raise money to feed kids all over the world.

She has an awesome husband who makes sure she is taken care of and two beautiful children Alison (8yrs) and Jacob (7yrs) plus her entire family that will be right beside her during this fight. Jason even took a job over in Kuwait to try to help get them out of debt however after only being there for 3 months he had no choice but to return when Lisa got this devastating news.

So with that being said I started this Go Fund me account. It is our hope to try to raise money to help with her mounting medical bills, copays, living expenses, and loss of wages. With Jason being the only one working  and having to take a lower pay grade position when returning home, it has put some major stress on the both of them. Lisa is unable to drive so she has to rely on her husband and her wonderful friends and neighbors to help her get their kids to school and Lisa to her treatments.

We appreciate all of the love, support and prayer that we have received from so many. We ask for continued prayers because without them we have nothing. She will beat this. I know she will.

Thank you so much for your love, support, kind words, prayers, and thoughts. Any donation big or small will be GREATLY appreciated.

All proceeds will go directly to Lisa and her family to help with any financial expenses so that they can focus on helping each other get through this difficult time.
