Multi-Agency School Safety Drill

Donation protected
In January, the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps will be hosting an inter-agency training event with the goal of preparing ourselves and neighboring volunteer response teams for a possible Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) event.

This intensive training event, which will be held at one of our local elementary schools, will focus on clearing and providing immediate emergency medical care in an "active shooter situation" which, unfortunately, is no longer an impossible occurrence in today's world. In order to provide our community with the best possible care we have to be prepared for any event, and that only comes with practice and training.

Unfortunately, this vital training isn't without cost. To that end, we would like to appeal to our community to raise some of the funds needed in order to cover the cost of the operating expenses for this training exercise. These funds would be used to cover the cost of hiring experienced, highly trained instructors from Bedford Police Department and Westchester EMS (WEMS), as well as the cost of equipment needed for this event.

We hope this training is never needed, however, we at LVAC aren't comfortable taking that chance, and in order to provide our community with the peace of mind it needs and deserves we want to be ready for even the slimmest chance that an emergency event like this might occur. We hope you in the community feel the same way and take this opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of our home.
