New Year's Eve is typically the night to forget your past and look forward to new beginnings. Well, for Levi he was especially ready to leave 2012 in the dust. It had been the second year to tragically lose a family member. His Papa unexpectedly became ill and passed away in 2011 and then 12 months later his mom unexpectedly passed away leaving behind Levi, his younger brother and their dad. Thinking that he had a kidney stone, Levi went to the doctor and after a series of tests and x rays heard the words no one ever expects. You have cancer. He was diagnosed on December 31. Within 48 hours, surgery was performed and a chemotherapy treatment plan was established. In the midst of now battling cancer, his insurance company decided thy weren't going to cover him anymore and rescinded his policy. Three months of treatment every two weeks, five days a week, 4 hours a day of the strongest dose of chemo and this strong, active, happy man we all know and love has become sick, weak and ready for this fight to be over. Thanks to his insurance company, he is buried under at least $100,000.00 in medical bills.
