Now it’s time for us to raise money to help Lee fight Cancer!
As a Veteran, Lee must depend on the VA for his treatment, and as most of you know, they are sorely behind when it comes to natural healing and even the basics of nutrition. As an example, they recently gave Lee a High Fructose Corn Syrup mixture by Nestle as nutrients and that caused his tumor to grow even faster! One thing that Lee could use right now is a special Organic liquid nutrient mix that costs $1250 per month!
Lee is too sick to work and needs your donations now, to help defray these costs to keep Lee fighting!
His loving wife Carolyn is at his side, as always, driving him to the VA Clinic every day and doing her best to take care of their property (a job that takes at least 2 people!).
Backstory:
Lee started studying massage in January of 1986 at the New Age School of Massage, in Sebastopol, CA. He soon became a massage school junky, studying every style of massage technique that the school had to offer. In 1988 the school offered a second level, which Lee took twice, with a class in anatomy at Santa Rosa Junior College in between. The New Age School began to grow, offering nutrition classes. This is when Lee met Ed Bauman, PhD. in Nutrition. Ed started his own school, the Institute for Educational Therapy, in Cotati, CA, and Lee was one of the first students in Ed's school in 1991 and went on to finish all three levels in 1994. In 1998 Lee studied herbology with Beth Riedel for 10 months. Lee has had a private practice since 1987 and has also massaged thousands of people while working in spas in the hot springs town of Calistoga for over twenty years.
Lee has always approached his work from a holistic point of view, looking at all aspects of a person's life, including their physical health, diet, exercise, healthy relationships with family, friends and community, encouraging a positive attitude and an open mind for his clients. Lee is also a big proponent of the healing powers of humor and has taught humor and creative writing classes to any interested Veterans in Sonoma County.
So you can imagine what a shock it’s been for Lee and all of his clients and friends, when he was diagnosed with cancer just a few months ago. Lee’s diagnosis of Stage 4-
Human Papilloma Squamous Cell Carcinoma is unfortunately inoperable and the tumor on the side of his neck has doubled in size in just a few short months. Of course, being one who “walks his talk,” Lee did everything he could to treat the cancer using natural means. But the cancer was too aggressive and on the advice and persistence of his family, friends and doctors, Lee agreed to do an equally aggressive course of Chemo. Now half way through his first course, Lee’s tumor continues to grow. His throat is all but closed. His jaw is immovable and he has to get all nutrients through a feeding tube to his stomach. He's facing the brutal course of Radiation therapy next.
Lee is fighting the biggest fight of his life and he needs your help.
