Hello, my name is Richard Perkins and I am a handyman. While trying to get customers I found that there are a lot of seniors in this country that need help but they don't have the funds. I got the idea of putting this request up for them.
Seniors are the backbone of our country. They sacrificed throughout their lives to build this great country we live in. Many seniors live on a very small monthly income and they can't afford to do repairs or upgrades on their homes.
As a handyman I have the skills to help a lot of them but I do not have the funding to pay for the projects out of pocket so I thought I would ask the great people here for help.
The money that is donated wil cover costs of materials and labor that seniors need for projects from repairing bathroom and kitchen fixtures and appliances to building ramps and safe access to their homes as well as many other projects like yard work.
Because I feel appreciation for what the aging part of our society has done to build as good of country as they could throughout their lives I feel the need to give back to them by using some of my skills and talents to help them out with things they need done around their homes to make it a safer and happier place to be.
Since I am not independently wealthy I cannot afford to finance these projects so I am asking for help from the GoFundMe community.
Thank you to all in advance for your care and help. You will be helping people that sacrificed life and limb for us and you will be giving back to them by helping to improve their quality of life.
The picture included is of a small slab I did for a 90+ year old couple that needed a place to put their trash and recycle bins to keep them safely out of the way. This is an example of the small projects seniors need to better their quality of life.
If you have any suggestions let me know. Constructive criticism is always helpful.
If I know any graphic designers and you would like to design a logo for this site please let me know. I would LOVE to have a professional logo to go with a professional site.
The leaky faucet has developed more problems in the shower with the walls so as I get more donations I will also be visiting that problem but let's get to the source first and make her dwelling as safe as possible for her to live in while bringing down her water bill and saving her money for other things she may need like food, rent and medications.
I'll post pictures on the Facebook Page when I get the project completed. Thank you to all of those that have donated, this lady getting help is a direct result of your generosity and for that I commend you all.
Do you have $5, $25, $100 you can spare to improve the quality of life to a deserving senior citizen at no cost to them? I am ready to do my part but I can't do my part until you do your part. Let's not let them down, visit the link, learn what this is about and make a small donation, it only takes a minute.
Please like and share our Facebook page. Every like and share is important and and very much appreciated.
Today is a good day to show your generosity. Wouldn't giving $5, $10 or even $15 top off the day just right? You know it would and it only take a minute or so to donate. A deserving senior citizen needs your help today. Let's not let them down.
I'm willing to do my part if you do your part.
I donated $20 its not much but i will do my best to donate another $20 next wk. Thank you for doing this for this person
