LaKish Hayworth Scholarship Fund

My name is Garett Reid and I am the Community Chair of the La Kish Hayworth Memorial Scholarship Fund on the Board of Directors for CGNIE - a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Charity Organization based in the Sacramento Area of Northern California. Under the umbrella of CGNIE - "Court of the Great Northwest Imperial Empire", we are a board of volunteers (elected and appointed by the local community), with no paid positions or seats, whose goal it is to raise money through a number of events, sponsorships, donors, etc. in order to award other community organizations with needed funding to aide in LGBT Community Causes.

The purpose of the La Kish Hayworth Memorial Scholarship Award is to motivate and assist Greater Sacramento’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and other "community ally" students in pursuing further study and/or completing an educational degree with small, but helpful, individual scholarships annually or bi-annually depending on available funds.

The struggles of young students everywhere can include a multitude of causes and effects that alter and limit their options to increase further education and awareness that will influence future generations for LGBT equality and acceptance.

Please help us help other LGBT Community Youth with your donation, so we may increase the number and total amount of Scholarships that we are able to award both this year and following years to come.
