Help Leslie Baker Kick Cancer!

September 5,2017. Wow yeah it's been that long. Seems like yesterday I was going back for my first surgery March 9,2015 and here I am still fighting. So I thought I would update you guys on what's going on in my world. I stopped chemo back in May. I was not in remission but my cancer was stable enough to allow for a break in chemo. This also was important to allow me to address some hip issues I was having. Fast forward to July 20th, 2017 I went in to the hospital and had a full hip replacement.
So now what new hip. New me ? Ehhh wishful thinking. I'm currently hitting the physical therapy spot twice a week. I'm fighting to get stronger. I'm trying to heal from the surgery and learn to walk all over again. So yes the fight is still on and I am schedule for a cat scan on the 22nd of this month. I follow up with the oncologist that following Tuesday to review the results and determine what the next step is for my cancer. The cool part about all of this is I have been feeling pretty well health wise. But struggling sometimes with everything that comes along with this diagnoses. However, I'm currently battling the start of another infection but hopefully the docs square me away tomorrow.
So September started my new insurance with Medicare and I have this Aetna coverage that takes its place. It's actually not that great of insurance after all. I'm working with a social worker that I believe is going to hopefully get me something that will be helpful. I don't qualify for Medicaid. I'm also limited on supplements because they can put riders on amount of money they will cover for treatment. So there's a lot to learn with this and so much to process. Today my brain was exhausted. It's really scary actually because as it reads right now. My coverage to be on chemo is 80/20. So I'm responsible for 20 percent. Well the last treatment I finished up ran well over 15000 for one infusion.
Everyone always ask how they can help and often I say I dunno or that I'm ok. However, this right here is prob the biggest help. Cancer is really expensive and treatment is even more. Pile on top of being limited with income on disability. I have some really positive things working with the social worker so I think she will get me to a better place but it won't be easy. So all I ask is if you guys can continue to share this. Say a good vibe. Drop me a message. Donate a dollar. Keep spreading and sharing the page for me. The more people that see it the better. As I'm not in this alone. It's me and all of you guys fighting together. I appreciate all of you in so many ways. So let's keep fighting this bitch together. Because we have already said " bye felicia" then we went and had the doctor drop the "we made cancer my bitch a second time" I think we are going to aim with "rest in peace cancer" this time. Because death is final and only one of us it going out and it's not LB so it's going to be #RIPCancer.
I love you guys and if you are unable to donate I totally understand. We all are going through challenging things in our lives but again if you can share it and/or send a good vibe that would mean the world to me. Also if you want to donate directly to me then please contact me and we can arrange that. I can also give you my doctors info. Gift cards are also always welcomed as well for food. Wawa. Amazon. Things for daily living that are needed.

Please help support my family friend Leslie Baker in her fight against Cancer. Leslie was recently diagnosed at the young age of 31. She has undergone surgery to remove it, and is now receiving Chemo treatments which she must do one per week for 18 weeks. We can all imagine just how costly this process will be for Les
lie and I am asking for anyone that is looking for a way to help or to show your support to please contribute anything you can to help offset some of these expenses that Leslie will face. Leslie is a strong woman and can and will kick this! This is a great way that we can give her a kick start!#LBTOUGHASNAILS
