As the result of the largest fire the Village of Latham has seen in decades which resulted in almost the complete devastation of the downtown of this small community one of the last remaining small businesses in this community is unable to re-open due to insurance companies failure to settle in a timely manner. As a result this small business owner that was operating this cafe to keep a social center and provide great service to the community while receiving a minimal income to provide for her family is now left in a position unable to re-open and restore this service and unable to continue to provide for her family.
It is our hopes that we can raise enough money through donations to help provide for the family as well as invest in repairing and re-opening this business to help our community and this small business owner continue to support the community and her family before it is too late and the business is lost.
The need is immediate in the hopes that the business can be saved within the next 30 to 60 days.
