Hi my name is Kelly .My sister Claire and her husband Kerry really can use your help and support. On December 16, 2014 Kerry got very sick with out any warning and had to be taken by ambulance to Atlantic General Hospital where he was immeditaly admitt to ICU . He has severe pancreatis. His heart rate was high and his blood work is not very good. It indicates the beginning of sepsis. They are treating him as if he were septic. Right now he is borderline. His sugar is high from the infection. He will be getting an NG tube because his intestines are not working right now. Having symptoms of shock. The Doctor is putting in a central line. Kerry is still critical and on the ventilator. They have him completely sedated. Kerry had to be flown to Sinia Hospital in Baltimore Md. where he can be better taken care of. On December 19 they turned off sedation to wake him up. Kerry is having some setbacks. His CAT scan showed the pancreas is still "horribly" inflamed. But no infection or dead tissue. His lungs have a bit more fluid. His oxygen had to be turned up. His temp is still high. He is off sedation but still unconscious. Finally, his heart rate is too high and blood pressure too low. He is stable but still unconscious. It is going to be a long road for this family. At this time there is no income coming into this house hold because of this situation. There is no savings and the bills are going to keep coming. Plus now the hospital bills are going to be a burden. Any donation will help. Please keep him in your prayers, thank you.
