It is with a heavy heart that I deliver this news about my dearest lifelong friend, Kathy Dempsey. As most of you may know, Kathy has been courageously battling terminal cancer for over three years now. Throughout this period she has time and time again shown to us her fighting, strength, and resilience. Even on her worst days she remained her beautiful, elegant self- her gleaming smile a testament to her lust for life and love of family and friends. She is, and forever will be, a hero amongst us.
Unfortunately it has come to light that the cancer has spread and the treatment is no longer working. She has been given 2-3 months to live.
Her doctors would like hospice to step in now. Kathy has chose to wait as to spend A little more time just loving her kids.
This news has been absolutely devastating for her and her loved ones. After only recently losing their father, Steven Wenkus, Kathy's two children, Amanda and Aiden, aged 15 and 13, are struggling to cope at a time of year when children should be excitedly awaiting the holidays. Their mother is their world, and vice versa. Our hearts are with them as we continue the Go Fund Me account and support!
In light of all this, Kathy will not be returning to work in order to spend as many more precious moments as possible with family and friends. We hope and pray that with your generosity we can make this a beautiful and extra special Christmas for Kathi Amanda and Aiden and help ease the burden of this transition. Every bit of compassion will go towards healing their hearts, and creating the blueprints of some of
