*Children need quality experiences to teach them that healthy choices and traditional ways can be fun. Parents need to know their children will be safe, active and fed well while they work.
*This FREE day camp, held in Thetford VT will include a variety of options such as drum making, pottery, Abenaki language in songs and stories, growing and finding native foods, fishing, survival skills and the environment. Activities will be designed for ages 4 - teens with groups divided by age and interest.
*The leaders of the camp will include experieced teachers and tribal members and elders.
* The multi-generational groups overall focus will be on improving choice making skills through community involvement, understanding of nature and enjoyment of healthy activities.
