Kindly help me fundraise for renovation of a small community school in rural Liberia (3 hours drive from Monrovia, the Capitol) in Gbarpolu county.
Currently the children in the community are learning under a structure that was constructed over 10 years ago as a temporary school. The location where they school currently is inadequate in terms of space and conduciveness for learning, safety, etc. currently, 3 grade levels are being taught in one open space with one teacher. The room is poorly equipped with educational tools like a blackboard among other things.
It rains heavily in Liberia and the once the rains begins, teaching and learning becomes quite difficult as the heavy downpour of rain pours and splashes in the single classroom where all grade levels learn.
The money raised will be used to construct a 6 classroom building for the children in the community.
We are hoping to raise this fund within six months to commence construction before the the end of first semester.
This project means a lot to us as we at KEEP are very passionate about access to education, developing the minds of our Liberian children, giving back and making sustain impacts wherever we work. This project stands to directly benefit over 200 students in this small, overlooked community.
We would be very grateful and appreciate of your moral and financial support as you join us in helping us positively impact the lives of these children.
Because of your support, we will be able to help provide a conducive, safer and healthier learning environment for the children of Small Bong Mines in Gbarpolu, Liberia.
KEEP also has several ongoing initiatives to help improve and support the education system in Liberia (reading & computer literarcy rooms, tuition support, provision of educational supplies, etc.). We would love to reach more children, women, girls and communities to make sustainable impact and widen our outreach throughout the country, especially in the difficult to reach communities. In order to do this, we count on your support.
