At about 8:17 a.m., police responded to the sound of gunshots near Blue Hill Avenue and Charlotte Street, Dawnn Jaffier was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.We are shocked and saddened that a senseless act of violence took away such a gifted, kind and compassionate young woman.Dawnn knew early on that she would commit her life to helping others and that is exactly what she did. Dawnn was active in Americorps programs, City Year, Playworks, the Hennigan School and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Dawnn was a lover of life who just wanted to dance, smile and have fun.It is impossible to imagine a world without Dawnn. We smile as we think of the many lives she has touched in her short time on earth and we mourn for the people who will miss this opportunity. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this trying time. All donations will help Dawnn's family cover funeral costs, no donation is too small and any and every donation is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate at this time, please share this page.

On behalf of Dawnn Jaffier's family and friends, we would like to thank you again for your contribution in 2014 to the GoFundMe campaign. With the anniversary of her passing approaching, we invite you attend The Biggest Fun Ever on Friday, August 21, 2015. Dawnn had an infectious smile, a bubbly personality and was always the one to bring spontaneous fun to every event. This is the way that we want to remember her and this is how our anniversary event came to be. So join us at the West End House Boys & Girls Club at 105 Allston Street in Allston from 5 pm - 9 pm and bring the family. Governor Charlie Baker will be on hand to open the evening's celebration.

The event is free and will include food, family-friendly games and activities.

If you are interested in volunteering at the event, please contact Jenny Nute at 617-787-4044 at ex. 24.

Hope to see you there!

Outside of the madness I really hope this money can not only take care of the sad aspect but also breathe life into a new one God willing maybe the family can use some of the remaining funds to pay for a day trip (*hint) or something they can all enjoy in Dawnn's honor. They deserve a positive peace, :) Praying for the best for the family!
