Jon's Medical Mission to Brazil

Do you have a passion? A calling? A place to make a positive difference in the world? Can I tell you about mine? On a normal day, that passion would be offering spiritual care to people facing life-limiting illness. But I have the opportunity, in January, to make a difference offering spiritual care, alongside my son Aaron - a medical student - who will be offering medical care in the Amazon region of Brazil! To make a difference in the lives of those who have only rare access to medical care. They have no hospitals, no clinics and the only doctors many of them see are those who come on the mission boat of Central Brazil Mission. I have the opportunity to serve on a mission from January 19-30.  The people served are a warm and thankful people whose access to medicine is limited simply because of where they live. CBM offers medical care where no other care is available. Helping assure that little children are as healthy as they can be and working with expectant mothers toward healthy pregnancies. And, in addition, the mission's Medical Boat allows for much needed surgeries and treatment of various diseases which are prevalent in the Amazon region. Changing the lives of people in every village served! As CBM works to physically care for people, they also work to give people opportunities for spiritual good health. The mission reaches out with the love of Jesus and shares His Word and His love, changing lives for the better. This is an amazing mission!! But I need your help! I need people to partner with me in two very important ways. 
First, I ask for your prayers. God works through the prayers of His people and I ask for yours to help strengthen our mission. Second, I have to raise $2500 in order to get to Brasil, complete the mission, and return home. If you can help with both, great! If you can help with just one, that's - well - great!
