In Memory of John Trition Harvard

Donation protected
On April 6th, 2014, the world lost a precious little boy named John Triton Harvard to a dog attack, beginning a nightmare for his family which they still struggle through every single day.

His brother who witnessed the attack has PTSD. His sister, who adored John, has been known to cut herself and may suffer from depression. John's mother (Johnna) suffers from numerous health conditions herself. As though it wasn't traumatic enough to lose her boy, she was terrorized upon visiting her son's grave by a viscious dog.: http://www.abc3340.com/story/25910764/parent-of-child-killed-by-a-pit-bull-terrorized-by-a-pit-bull-at-sons-grave-site

It is true that the dog who killed John as well as the dog who attacked his mother is what is often referred to as a 'pit bull type dog.' Because pit bull ownership is such a controversial topic, many were hesitant to donate to the Harvards' memorial fund for John, believing falsely that a donation to the victim of a pit bull attack is a vote against pit bull ownership. This simply isn't the case.

Regardless of your views on pit bulls, this shouldn't stop you from giving a helping hand to a family in need. Johnna is falling behind with her medical bills and insurance hasn't covered counseling for John's siblings, who are struggling to come to terms with their brother's death. Donations will help them immensely, but more than that, leaving a kind comment will make a world of difference to the Harvards. After all, what could be more beautiful than showing that you care?
