We founded Chabad at UCF 9 years ago, and of course, we are here to stay.
Did you know that no less than 7,000 Jewish students study at UCF every year?
Our goal at Chabad is to be the home away from home for every one of those students.
Be it Shabbat meals (150-200 students/week), High Holidays & Sukkot (1500 students), Passover (over 500 students), annual Shabbat experience (770 this year) or our weekly barbecues and study sessions, we are here to host, support, teach, and celebrate Judaism with students all year round.
The thing is, we're actually bursting at the seams. Our current location (and private home) is THE venue for all of the above, all year round. We rent tents over the holidays (yes, we're literally spilling out into the yard), and for students who want to observe an entire Shabbat weekend, our home becomes a mini B&B.
That said, we don't plan to stop! In fact, we are ready for much, much more.
A property adjacent to the university has recently become available and it has Chabad's name all over it. But we need your help to make it a reality!
Our plan is to develop this land and build a 10-12,000 SF Chabad Center that would have all the amenities for a Student Community Center.
Our GoFundMe goal is 54K*, which is the balance we need to close on the land purchase by December 10th , please G-d.

- Maximum Loan Available $250,000

§ Amount raised to date $470,000 for Land Purchase, $750,000 for Construction
About The New Location:
§ 1.93 acre parcel at 3140 N Alafaya Trail
§ On the main road right across the street from campus.
§ Walking distance to campus and many student housing developments
§ After completion, approximate capacity will be 500 students
§ Center will include a lounge, social hall, commercial kitchen, Jewish library, synagogue, guest rooms, and Rabbi family residence
§ Parking for 50 cars with additionally we will be on the campus shuttle route
About University of Central Florida:
§ 60,810 students,
§ Estimated Jewish student body: 7,000
§ Largest Jewish student population in Florida (second largest in the USA)

§ Established in 2006
§ Moved to a new location (current) September 2007 due to lack of space in first location
§ We rent tents for every holiday for lack of space
§ We hosted Shabbat 500, 613, 770 meeting our goals each time
§ We take 130 students to Israel each year
§ Shabbos attendance between 150 - 200 students
§ Our welcoming BBQ this year saw over 200 students
§ We hosted 600 students for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services and meals and 1500 over Tishrei
§ Over 500 students attended our Pesach Seders and many more for kosher for Passover meal plan
§ Sinai Scholars – Introduction to Judaism course 50 Students per year
