We are raising money for our Dad's growing medical expenses.  "We" includes me (Kim), Shaun, Ryan and Kristen. For everyone that knows us, we are a preeettty close-knit group of siblings and this unity extends to the rest of the family.
It was life altering and a major shock to discover that our Dad has a rare form of cancer called Neuroendocrine Carcinoma, that has spread to his liver. Surgery is not an option at this time.
Dad has never asked for much, he leads a simple life on a small farm in KY with our Mom. Although, hard-headed at times, he's really a teddy bear and loves his family unconditionally.
It's becoming increasingly more difficult to care for his property and his bunch of kooky, loveable animals, leaving a large responsibilty to our Mom.
While the cancer is rare, the treatment is not, necessarily.
He is currently undergoing a chemotherapy regimen, but thankfully, after meeting with a specialist for a second opinion there are a number of other treatment options available that can help keep it at bay. Insurance will only help cover some of the expenses, for example,  it will cover a portion of clinical trials, but does not include lodging and travel. There may be future treatments that are not covered at all. Plus, the mounting bills for tests, blood work and scans.
Our parents mean everything to us and if we can help them even a fraction of the amount they've helped us, with this financial burden, it would lighten the load on both their shoulders.  
Any contribution, small or large, to help in these rough times of not only financial, but emotional stress would mean the world to us!
