Jennifer Sheldon Brain Trust

On January 18th, 2019 Jennifer Lynn Sheldon was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It all started on January 4th. Jennifer was experiencing some dizziness and thought she had an inner ear infection.  After a round of antibiotics and steroids and not seeing relief from her symptoms, she made an appointment with an ENT and an MRI was ordered for the following week.  From there her symptoms grew rapidly worse.  She was having difficulty walking and moving her right arm.  Due to the severity, the family rushed the MRI appointment which uncovered she had a large tumor on the left side of her brain.

After a few hours of letting the shock set in, the family surrounded her with prayer and tried to decide what would be the next step.  Her symptoms were growing worse and we knew she needed help.  Admittance started at Christ hospital in Cincinnati, OH where they did blood work to verify she was stable. During that time we were able to arrange for her to be transferred to the Ohio James Brain Center at Ohio State University with a world-renowned Dr. who specializes with her type of tumor.  She was admitted Sunday evening (01/20/19) where they confirmed the tumor started in the brain and was in fact a Stage IV Glioblastoma. Surgery was scheduled for January 22nd.

Surgery went well and the team of neurosurgeons were able to remove the tumor with a clean MRI. It was confirmed that this tumor is not friendly and only time will tell what God will do through this.  Next steps are physical therapy at the Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital in Columbus (right next door to OSU hospital).  The fact that their accreditation is rated #1 in Ohio, #2 nationwide, and #3 worldwide, we feel blessed that Jennifer is in the best hands.

Due to travel, lodging, food, and medical expenses, we're hoping to relieve the financial stress on the family. It's not what we would wish on anyone BUT God goes before us in ALL things, even this.  We don't understand the why, and yes we are hurting, but we know that God works all things for HIS will and glory.  Brain tumors or any kind of tumors do not surprise Him.  We are resting in His promises and we know we cannot do it in our strength alone.

Please continue to pray for Jennifer & Roger and the rest of the Sheldon family.  While we have initially set up this fund for $50,000, we are hopeful we can get this to go viral and greatly exceed that goal.  'Many hands make light work.'  If we each give what we can and spread the word of Jennifer's fight against brain cancer, we can help Jennifer's journey go viral and put Jennifer and Roger a bit more at ease with their living & medical expenses.

Thank you ALL for your thoughts, prayers, and financial support of a woman who is a true testimony of God's grace.
