Triathlon for the Malden YMCA

I am a senior at Milton Academy, a private school in the south shore, and I live in Revere, Massachusetts. I attended public school until high school, and I worked at my family's bakery since before I can remember. Athletics were never an option because time was always limited and my family's financial position always built limitations. This all changed once I entered Milton because I was given the time, facilities, and opportunities to join any athletic team I wanted to. Through the opportunities Milton gave me, I was able to find my passion in athletics and become a part of the soccer, hockey, and softball team during my high school career. Milton pushed and set physical limits that I could never imagine possible, and now I would like to continue pushing those physical limits for my senior project. I am dedicating the month to training for and participating in the Sudbury Sprint Triathlon as a fundraising event for the Malden YMCA. I am willing to push the physical limits Milton helped me set so that I may help other inner city students in my community push their own through better facilities and greater athletic opportunities. All of the proceeds donated will be given to the Malden YMCA to continue building on athletic opportunities for the community.
