Jeff Beacham  TOMS RIVER, NJ

I am a musician, preacher and founder of Firepower Ministries Int. and GenNet.

I was born and raised in New Zealand, lived in Australia for 25 years, and have been ministering in the US since 1999. My passion is making Jesus more famous everywhere!

In early 2009, I was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer and given 6 months to two years to live!

After two rounds of chemo, radiation and major surgery where they took out most of my esophagus, I was flat on my back for most of the year. However, I resumed my traveling ministry late in 2009 and continued strongly throughout 2010.

Then, in the beginning of 2011, it was discovered that the cancer had returned in two lymph nodes on the left side of my neck, and I was given 6 -12 months to live.

All that was offered was more chemo and radiation. Since that nearly killed me the first time, I decided to pursue a more natural approach.

Consequently, in June, 2011 I started a series of integrated treatments at a Christian hospital in Mexico, where certain protocols were available that were not allowed in the US.

I have been to this hospital four times over the last year and I'm sure the treatments have played a major role in keeping me relatively 'healthy.'

As these treatments are outside of the US, insurance has not covered the thousands of dollars in expenses.

I plan on returning to the hospital at some point in the near future for more treatments to help me have greater longevity.

Kindly consider helping me with the costs of my next visit and other natural treatments I'm looking into here in the US!

Also, just recently I MC'd the America for Jesus Pre-Rally in NJ and it was a great success. However, the next morning I woke up with no voice...! Since then I have been struggling to get it back.

It is most likely Laryngitis and I understand that it could take up to two weeks to get better.

There is also a possibility that it might be related to the cancer! My surgeon said, "One of the nerves that goes to the vocal cords is right near one of your involved lymph nodes. Although laryngitis is the most likely cause. If it does not resolve over the next 10 days, further investigation is warranted."

I had to postpone my preaching this past Sunday, and to make matters worse, my back went out and right now I can hardly stand!

I believe this a spiritual counter attack because of the success of the pre-rally. The enemy hates any one and any activity dedicated to preserving America's future. My heavy commitment to "America for Jesus" has made me a target!

You know me well enough by now that I don't preach to live, but live to preach! Never the less, we are solely supported by my preaching ministry and don't receive a salary from a church.

So please pray ardently for my voice, my back and consider assisting with finances.

Thank you and God bless you for your support!

OK... HERE'S THE LATEST! - Went to Philly today for the week-after-surgery checkup and the doctors are satisfied with my progress - no complications or infection.... I thank the Lord for that!

My voice is getting stronger every day as the swelling goes down. They recommended I see a voice therapist they have there at the hospital, because even though it's my voice, I have to learn how to use it all over again with the new 'set up.'

Of course, this is only treating the symptom and not the cause! So, over the next few weeks I will be researching and considering all options available to reduce the tumors in my neck, which IS the cause of my voice loss.

Thanks so much for standing with me through this trial. Even though I had to cancel over 20 meetings since Christmas, including an overseas ministry trip, your support has enabled me to focus most of my time on keeping healthy and restoring my voice....

Please stay with us by supporting our Health Fund...

God bless you and thanks!

Much love, Jeff

The surgery went well last Monday!

This involved making a 3-4 inch incision at my Adam's apple and inserting a thyroplasty (spacer) behind my one paralyzed vocal chord, pushing it out to the middle of my voice box where the other working chord can vibrate against it and make sound.

I had a voice for the first time in weeks at the end of the day.... However, due to swelling, which is normal, it's hoarse right now but should be better in a week or so. Swallowing was like eating broken glass....

Believing for better days ahead preaching! Believe with me!!!

Help us reach the goal of our Health Fund on the right so we can afford treatments in the near future that will keep me strong for the battle!

Thanks and much love,

Jeff

According to the National Cancer Institute, "Esophageal cancer is treatable, but is rarely curable. The average 5-year survival rate is 5%." I have survived nearly 4 years so far... Will you help me be one of the 5% by this time next year???

I'm convinced that more chemo and radiation would not have helped, which is why I have been aggressively pursuing more alternative treatments, which have enabled me to stay well enough to continue my ministry.

These are not covered by insurance so your help in prayer and finance would be deeply appreciated.

Each dollar you give transfers life to me and will enable me to have a better chance of completing everything that the Lord wants me to do on His behalf....

Thank you,

Jeff

I woke up yesterday morning with no voice again!!! I'm speaking four times this weekend so pray that it will be better by then....

I must get my tumor markers down! They were measured recently at 26.2, the highest they've ever been!

I will continue treatments today with a local doctor that I hope will bring the levels down. Your kind donation will help me cover these costs which are not covered by my health insurance.

Swap a lunch today and fast, round off what you would have spent to $10 or more and donate it to my health fund. Your spiritual and financial input will keep me preaching longer!!!
