Jayme's Breast Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
Dear friends,

I’ve recently received some unexpected news—I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. At this time I know I have two large tumors. One in my right breast and one in the lymph node under my right arm, with the possibility of other lymph nodes also being affected. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has been quite a shock and has made for a stressful time for our family.

We are, of course, taking the necessary steps to treat this so hopefully I'll be able to get on with my beautiful life. The bad news is my breast cancer is considered to be aggressive and I will need to begin chemotherapy right away.

Additionally at some point my treatments will also include surgery, radiation and possibly other treatments that I’m not yet aware of. The good news is that I am in the care of wonderful doctors who are and will be doing everything needed to kick cancers butt and to get my health back on track. Over the next week I will have several test and doctors’ appointments at which time my exact course of treatment will be decided. One large determining factor will be the outcome of a genetic test which will provide the doctors with more specific information on the exact type of breast cancer I have.

First and most importantly, we are asking for your prayers, positive thoughts, and well wishes.

We are starting this fundraiser to help with some of the cost involved in the treatment of my breast cancer. While our insurance will cover a large portion, there is a very high deductible and maximum out-of-pocket amount that must first be met.  Additionally my treatments and surgeries will extend through the new year which would then be subject to the high deductible and maximum out-of-pocket amounts once again.

Any donation is deeply appreciated and will be put directly towards my medical expenses and any specialized treatment we can get. We would be forever grateful, even if all you can give is a prayer or positive thought.

I will get through this journey God has planned for my life. It is because of my faith and understanding of God’s love that I am at peace with this news. That being said I will tackle this head on and fight with all that is in me to be a Breast Cancer Survivor!

I am grateful for your friendship and hopeful that my family and I will be in your thoughts and prayers in the coming months.

Thank you so much for your love and support!

Regards,
The Quintanilla Family
