My Jakky. It all began November 27th, 2018. He started complaining of pain in his back. Everything became difficult for him. Using the potty. Sitting in a chair. Getting off the couch. He started to limp and became less involved in the everyday hussle and bustle at home. I started to panic a little (Internal Mommy Mode) I started asking my fiancée Adam “Are you seeing what I am seeing”? “Asking my Mom “Are you watching this 5 year old Pepe”? Asking Nana Pam “Is he walking funny”?Texting My Jessy “Something is happening with Jaxson and I'm concerned” I couldn’t wait more than a few days before I started to call his pediatrician. They recommended I bring him into the clinic should the pain continue- but on that Saturday Jaxson said he was feeling better! He had no pain. He was walking normally and acting 5. The following week on Friday 12/7/18 I picked him up from daycare. He was complaining his buttcheek hurt. No back pain. Just his buttcheek. What is going here?! He looked a little yellow. On Sunday he started a fever. I was concerned. By the end of the weekend we had checked into UVMMC ED. Within hours we were being admitted. Blood tests. More blood tests. X-rays. Ultrasounds. On Monday December 10th,2018 my worst nightmare came true. Jaxson’s suspected diagnoses: Leukemia.  Leukemia? Like cancer? I was in SHOCK. I won’t even re- tell the story of what happened in that meeting. The things I said- THE CUSS WORDS FLYING.  Holy Moly!  The rest of the night was a blurrrrrrrrr. Blurred from crying. What just happened? Where am I?  By Tuesday December 11th, 2018 at 10:00 my Jakky was going under anesthesia. A lumbar puncture. A spinal. A PICC Line is being placed. A bone marrow biopsy is being taken from his hip.  I sat in the surgical waiting room, my own Mommy and My Jessy by my side. Still in a haze of confusion and mist. Hours later a chemotherapy plan being made.   Here we are- December 15th, 2018. Our lives completely changed. Suiting up and preparing for the biggest battle of both Jaxson and I’s lives. Our families lives.  Please consider donating to Jaxson to help with the families expenses during Jaxson’s fight. As they say in Jaxson & Coopy’s favorite movie “Ready Fight” ~ Ferdinand Love,  Jess & Jaxson ❤️❤️❤️
