Infiorata to Japan Fair~

Tax deductible

The Japan Fair  team would like your help in bringing 3 Japanese Infiorata artists to create a huge art mosaic with just using flowers for the 2 day cultural event in Downtown Los Angeles!

Infiorata is a traditional Italian festivity where the entire town comes together to create a mosaic art piece with just the use of flowers. It is said that the practice of such festivities started as early as the 13th century and still is one of the biggest festival in June.Inspired by the traditions of other cultures, the Japan Fair is going to feature infiorata, but with a Japanese twist. All attendees of the fair will be able to help participate in placing more than 10,000 flowers to create a Japanese art piece such as a Kabuki actor.

The artist, Mr. Yasuhiko Fujikawa, is a well renowned infiorata artist who travels around the world to revitalize communities and enhance the culture by bringing the people together.

Preparations for this starts  3 days prior to the event. The artists need time to create the base of the mosaic so that the people can easily lay the flowers accordingly and each flower pedal must be prepared and sorted.

The Japan Fair team is comprised of 3 non-profit organization that are eager to bring this festive event to our fair.
