Jacoby's New Beginning

Donation protected
Jacoby Goodwin was raised in McCall Idaho and recently graduated with the class of 2013. Jacoby had a dream of graduating college and pursuing a career in golf management. He was a full time student at the University of Idaho, but after falling very ill with an autoimmune disorder called Chrohn's disease, he had to withdraw from his studies.
He was diagnosed this year after being misdiagnosed for many years. By the time it was discovered, Jacoby had a severe/advanced stage. It was determined Jacoby was probably born with this genetic disease and has suffered the majority of his young life with numerous secondary health issues.
This disease reared it's evil head at such a crucial time in Jacoby's life. When other classmates were enjoying their first year in college and looking forward to their future, Jacoby fought pain, fear and reality until he could no longer fight. It was discovered that his body had fought a severe infection and he became so ill that surgery was his only hope in survival. Jacoby went through this life saving surgery on November 19th where several inches of his digestive tract were removed.
His mother stood by him at his bedside and he has had many prayers and support, however Jacoby faces financial challenges in the near future.
Many people have reached out wanting to help this family and this fundraiser is set up to give our community the chance to wrap it's arms around him and his family in a very helpful way.
Money raised with this fundraiser will go to help off-set some of the expenses he and his family have accrued, along with acquiring a large bill at the U of I after his medical withdrawal.
Jacoby will not be able to work for six months and he will have accruing costs of physical therapy and very expensive medications.
If everyone gives a little, Jacoby will be able to reach his goal and feel secure and focus on healing as he faces his NEW BEGINNING.
Thank you for your support. Please share with your friends/ family so that this fundraiser can be a success and show Jacoby just how important he is to this world.
