Jackson's LifeSaving Fund

Words can not begin to describe the condition of a dog I came across today.

I received a call from a lady who said her friends puppy was attacked by another dog on Saturday, March 2nd. She stated the puppy looks to possibly have bones showing and they havent taken him to a vet but were trying to fix it at home.

I went to this house and came across a 4m old black lab mix puppy that was almost in shock. One paw I saw was shredded and bones, ligaments and tendons exposed all over. The other paw was wrapped so I could not see it. I immediately jumped into action, had them surrender him to me and we got Jackson loaded into my truck where I rushed him to the Emergency Pet Clinic.

They immediately took him back, sedated him and unwrapped the other front paw, which was even worse. Bone exposed halfway up his leg. Tendons and ligaments exposed.

In the midst of all this, Jackson was WAGGING HIS TAIL AND WANTING TO GIVE KISSES!!

We know we had to save him. I contacted a rescue who I know and she said do what I need to, we will figure it out.

Throw a dog a Bone has accepted Jackson into the rescue and we have decided he has enough spirit in him to fight. And fight we will!

Jackson is being stabled at the vet, undergoing lots of medical care including flushing of the wounds, fluids, antibiotics, bloodwork and much more that cost $1622.47. A very nice donor has PAID FOR THIS FOR US!!!

Jackson will be a double amputee. Tomorrow we are going to move him to Crosspoint vet in Taft where he will undergo surgery and amputation of both front legs. We are in contact with a wheelchair company to get a wheelchair for him made.

Jackson isnt giving up, so neither are we. The vet Bill's are going to add up and we need your help to make this happen for him.

I didnt know what I was getting into when I went to go take a look at this injured puppy.

I didnt hesitate to help, Throw a dog a bone didnt hesitate to tag, and now we need your help raising money to keep him alive for a full life. He is only 4 months old. He deserves it!!
