Say hi to Izzy and Echo,


Izzy is a 2 year old black lab who loves everyone she meets and enjoys showing everyone with the constant wagging of her body and her tail. She makes her owners day when we come home from work and comes jumping and smiling making our day brighter. She plays and wrestles with the neighborhood kids and her nephews. Izzy is our best friend and the one person who can make any day brighter.


Sadly this isn't the Izzy we have had recently. As of this past week Izzy was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. It started with Izzy slowly not eating and then progressively got worse. She stopped eating completely, stopped playing with her sister, stopped smiling and walking, this was all due to Addison's Disease. You may not know what that is but let me explain.


Addison's Disease is a adrenal insufficiency. What this means is Izzy has hormones within her body missing. These hormones regulate her blood sugar, helps burn protein and fats within her body.  With these hormones missing her body slowly started to lose function from breaking down food, to tremors occurring and then to her no longer being able to walk.


We are here to ask for your help. With recent visits to the veterinarian and emergency clinic we have accumulated medical bills for izzy which we are not able to meet. After taking her in we also found that there is no cure for the disease and her only chance at a normal life is constant medication each month. Our biggest constraint is being able to afford these bills and the monthly medicines for Izzy to stay alive and keep being our best friend.


If you have a dog then you know how important they are too you, they aren't only your best friend but family. We love Izzy no matter sick or not but we want to keep her around, help us keep her here.
