Isaac's cancer battle
I'd like to first of all say that we believe in the power of prayer and the will of our Almighty God. Anything we will go through is no match for God. Please take the time as you read this to stop and say a prayer for my son. Our faith keeps us strong and keeps us going in this fight. The will of God will not take us where the grace of God cannot protect us! John 5:15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. I believe my son will be cured!
On Nov. 13, 2013 I received the news no parent wants to hear... "Your 5yr old son has a mass on his right thalamus." My son and I were rushed to the Childrens Hospital where an MRI found a 4.5cm tumor they hoped was benign. Surgery the next morning gave us his diagnosis and confirmed my worst fears... it was an inoperable and therefore incurable, malignant tumor with a very low survival rate giving him about 6 months to live. We're now 2 months into that 6 month timeframe. I will never stop fighting for my son. He and his brother are my strength, my joy, my pride, and my heart.
We recently moved from our home in CO to TX away from all of our family about 5 months ago. I'm blessed to have their support from so far away but it's been a rough time. My kids and I were still getting settled in our new home when we found out about the tumor. My son Elijah, 7, is still going to school but Isaac is in need of 24hr care due to the motor defects if the tumor. It's definitely taking it's toll on me and I'm asking for any help with his medical bills as possible. Cancer doesn't stop bills unfortunately. I'd love to be able to quit my job and spend every moment I can with my son but, as a single mother, I still have to work to support our little family. Thank you in advance for your help. My son is absolutely incredible. His strength and determination inspire me. If anyone can beat this it's my baby! Please help us in this fight. God bless you.
