Help Fund Iris' Vision Therapy!

Iris has been to multiple Pediatric Ophthamologists since May and since then has been diagnosed with- Alternating Esotropia Inferior Oblique Overaction Strabismus. Essentially this is a brain disorder; a part of her brain is not properly working to tell her eye muscles how to function properly.
We have tried glasses, dilation treatment, as well as patching. We were recently told these methods will not help and that surgery is our next option. After being told this it left me with a variety of questions and concerns. With the success rate of this surgery varying from 10-80% effective and the terrifying idea of my 2 year old having her eyes operated on, I decided to research her condition myself... Only to find out that this will not help the issue that is happening within her brain.
Since then I have gotten in contact with the Arizona Vision Therapy Center and with their treatment helping 80% of patients, myself and the doctor there feel this type of treatment will be extremely beneficial for Iris.
Unfortunately, it is not covered by our insurance and it is very costly. We, also, will be traveling over an hour to the location once a week.
This treatment will help train Iris' brain to tell her eyes how to function the way they should, as well as allow her brain to process both images she is seeing with her left and right eye.
If we do not follow through with treatment, over time her brain will ignore the image coming from her least dominant eye and eventually cause her least dominant eye to become useless.
If we decide to go the surgery route, it's more of a cosmetic surgery. Even though her eyes will appear straight, it doesn't necessarily mean her brain will be able to process both images from both eyes. Resulting in the need for more surgery's or loss of vision in her least dominant eye.
