2017 Conductive Education Fund

Independent Steps  provides Conductive Education in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for children and adults with cerebal palsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, brain injury, or post-stroke conditions.

Conductive Education is an alternative rehabilitation method that takes advantage of neuroplasticity in the subject individual to exercise and develop new neural pathways that can be used to accomplish basic physical tasks in order to gain greater personal independence and freedom.  A holistic approach aimed at the individual's physical, intellectual, and emotional needs is a key feature of the Conductive Education method that makes it particularly attractive to families who seek to prepare their children for later life.  Conductive Education can help overcome basic challenges such as learning to roll, crawl, sit, stand, walk, eat, write, and become potty trained.

The objective of this campaign is to raise $5000 to help defray parents' tuition, travel, and hotel costs for our clients in 2017.

This is a great opportunity to help special needs families and promote Conductive Education in the United States!
