In Memory of Izzy - Animal Cancer & Imaging Center
Donation protected
Izzy passed away on March 14, 2019 after a brave battle with Lymphoma. Several people have asked if we had an organization in mind where they could make a donation in Izzy's honor. We would love to give back to the organization that gave us nine healthy "bonus months" with our best friend.
Izzy received care at the Animal Cancer and Imaging Center (ACIC) in Canton, Michigan, where she received chemotherapy treatments. ACIC established a nonprofit called The Popeye Animal Cancer Foundation to help disadvantaged owners alleviate the financial burden involved with a pet's cancer treatments. 100% of your donations will go directly to families who cannot afford treatment for their pets. ACIC made such a positive difference in our lives and we would like to help extend that opportunity of health and healing to all animals and families, regardless of their financial situation. As an example of the cost of treatment, in Izzy's case, one treatment of chemotherapy (6 cycles of CCNU) and the related checkups totaled approximately $5,000 USD.
Unfortunately, ACIC does not have an online link for donations. We created this GoFundMe Campaign for this purpose and we will deliver your donation directly to ACIC. If you don't feel comfortable donating online, this brochure includes a form to send a donation by mail. Just be sure to mention your donation is in honor of Izzy!
As you can see, Izzy LOVED the entire staff at ACIC. They are amazing human beings and made Izzy feel like the most special pup in the entire world. Her little tail didn't stop wiggling - every single week. It made taking her in for chemotherapy treatments so much easier knowing she looked forward to going to ACIC.
