Imagine Wellness Summer Camp

Imagine Wellness, LLC is a private clinical practice offering behavior therapy and yoga to children, adolescents, parents, and whole families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our mission is simple: we are asking those we serve to Imagine what Wellness looks like for them, for their children, and for their community. Then we create therapeutic plans and parent-training programs to support their vision.
In 2015 we set out to run a 100% donation-based camp which would offer a free camp for 2-weeks of the summer to families with children with ASD. We were able to accomplish putting 4 out of our 9 children who attended camp on scholarships! This year we want to reach our goals of getting 10 kids to summer camp for 2-weeks of the summer. But we need your help.
To properly support children with ASD we need to hire staff with both knowledge and experience working with this population. We also have to maintain a student to staff ratio of no more than 3:1, with some of our students needing 1:1 support.
The funds we raise in this campaign will be used to staff the camp, plan and purchase activity materials, provides snacks and bottled water for our students, purchase first aid materials, pay our rent for the facility that is hosting us (Branches of Yoga), and have an end of summer "block party" for our campers!
Our camp will be held in August of 2016, but we will need to get our campaign wrapped up by the end of March 2016 so that we can open registration to families who are in need of this service.
I began my work with children with ASD 10-years ago as a college student. From the moment I met my first client I was in love with this work, and have since dedicated my life to serving these amazing children and their families, who work so hard to give their children a typical childhood experience. We would be so incredibly thankful for your support in our effort to bring summer camp to students who might now otherwise have the opportuniry to experience this kind of engagement with peers and staff, who genually wish to make a difference.
