In February 2015 our world was shattered when our gorgeous little girl Sophia, was heart breakingly diagnosed with an extremely cruel, rare, progressive and terminal genetic disorder, called Sanfilippo.

In February 2015 our world was shattered when our gorgeous little girl Sophia was heart breakingly diagnosed with an extremely rare & life limiting, progressive genetic disease, called Sanfilippo. (Part of the MPS disorders, www.mpssociety.org.uk)
This is a catastrophic disease & we do not know when it will begin to take its toll, it could be months or years.
At present there is no cure for this disease & we have no idea of how long we have with our precious little Princess.
What I can tell you is that although we are unfortunate enough to be dealt this blow that only 1 person in 90,000 people will be diagnosed with, we intend to stay positive & hold on to hope for the most delicate & beautiful thing in the world, LIFE!
At present Sophia is just like every other 4 year old & is an extremely happy, cheerful, confident, active, laughable & lovable little girl!
With your help we would like to raise funds for future developments, research & trials which are commencing around the world. With your support we can perhaps at least prepare to have a shot at fighting this horrendous disease!
Most importantly the purpose of 'Hundreds of Promises' is to bring together friends, family & people that care in a positive & fun manner to raise awareness & funds towards combating this life changing disease.
Our first challenge is to get 100 people to run the 'Great Scottish Run', half marathon in Glasgow on Sunday 4th October. Each person is making a commitment to raise at least £100! (At present we have around 85 runners, so please message me if you would like to take part).
We are also grateful for all the other fundraising activities that are taking part on our behalf.
As our charity is still in the process of being set up, donations can be made via this page which will be transfered over after the half marathon!
